If I weren't such a chicken

If I weren't such a chicken... So many areas of my life fall under this title.  In fact, if I weren't such a chicken, my writing would be available to so many more people. I hide it from my wife. I don't want to be chastised for what I write. I don't want to edit my thoughts. I want my thoughts to end up on the page, unchanged by others. And I am a chicken because I am afraid my thoughts would be shot down in the public forum.  For decades I have sought a public medium in which I could vent in a safe way. Now I have this medium for expressing myself. If I weren't such a chicken, I could be on television speaking about these thoughts, trying to get others to see the logic of my wisdom and to know the face of the mind behind these thoughts. But such notoriety requires thick skin. I only have onion skin.  My comments do get shot down occasionally on You Tube. Most of the time they are upheld and loved. My you tube comments have helped me connect and have writte...

The benefits of micro lending

Micro- lending:  Years ago I entered into the world of micro lending as a way to make a difference in the world with my small earnings as an educator. I used a now shuttered site owned by Ebay.  I really enjoyed it. I watched as the Muslim women that I supported grew their rural businesses in Sierra Leone and other North west African countries. I was especially proud of a chance to help the ladies.  Yes, my money was being repaid to me and at an interest rate I could live with. I chose the smallest rate possible- one percent. I was not interested in making money. I was not interested in ripping off. I wanted to be a difference to s...

DP not DP and other things

DP - Due process is not the Democratic Party. We could say that the New Democratic Party stands for No Due Process. Let's follow the poor ladies dragged out onto center stage by the Democrats, over the next few years, and see how well these ladies are treated. I wonder if they suffered in public only to be discarded, cast to the side as the leftist machine rolls on. Democrats do not care about what the Republicans did or did not do. They do not care about law and order, only that their agenda is met. All people against their ideology are simply deplorables. Time will bear out the truth of the differing views surrounding the Kavanaugh confirmation. And what of the potential illegal actions of the Katz legal team and the Democratic leak of Dr. Blasey Ford's name to the public. Will we find the Justice Department pursuing an investigation of the Democratic Party leak?  Will the Justice Department and the District of Columbia Bar take disbarment action against the Katz team f...
